PR-COIN Spring Learning Session 2026

The Spring 2026 Virtual Learning Session will take place on Monday March 30th, 2025, from 8 AM to 2 PM PDT / 11 PM to 5 PM EDT.

The theme for the Learning Session is “Charting the Course: A Unified Vision for Whole-Patient Care”

Engage in a collaborative environment where we move forward with shared insights to expedite improvement efforts. The main objectives are to learn about present current network performance, along with result of the Delphi survey, to engage in interactive discussion around future network priorities.

Additionally, we’ll share best practices around mental health screening, including actions taken on positive screenings and resources to standardize and improve care for children with JIA.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Alana Leever, PsyD, pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and clinical associate professor at the Ohio State University. She serves as the team psychologist to the Division of Rheumatology and specializes in supporting children and teens affected by rheumatic diseases.  Dr. Leever promotes the dissemination of evidence-based psychological services into pediatric rheumatology clinics, helping youth manage chronic pain, cope with mental and physical illness, and navigate medical procedures.

Dr. Leever’s talk will focus on mental health, and this theme will carry forward through multiple discussions throughout the Learning Session, including hearing about centers’ work on mental health screening during the Storyboard share-outs and learning about best practices and rollout plans for patient education materials including the mental health handout.

Additionally, there are pre-Learning Session QI training sessions for those seeking a refresher on Foundational and Introductory QI concepts, principles, and tools.
