PR-COIN To Convene for the Spring 2025 Learning Session
The Spring 2025 Virtual Learning Session will take place on Friday May 16, 2025, from 8 AM to 2 PM PDT / 11 PM to 5 PM EDT.
The theme for the Learning Session is “Synergy in Action: Leveraging Collective Wisdom for Accelerated Data-Driven Improvement in Care”.
Engage in a collaborative environment where we move forward with shared insights to expedite improvement efforts. The main objectives are to learn about successful quality improvement (QI) strategies and best practices, and to identify ways to fast-track improvement efforts at your own center using PR-COIN network resources like Key Driver Diagrams, toolkits, change packages, and job aids.
Additionally, you'll identify and initiate multi-center learning opportunities that leverage the collective expertise and resources of PR-COIN network centers to address common issues, such as forming a cohort to routinely review subgroup-stratified data and outcomes to identify care gaps and implement strategies to reduce or eliminate disparities.
Christian Helfrich, PhD, MPH, will deliver the keynote address drawing from his experience with implementation science and assessing organizational readiness for change. Dr. Helfrich is a prominent implementation scientist and Research Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Public Health. His research focuses on bridging the gap between research and practice through dissemination and implementation science, organizational change, and the removal of ineffective practices. Dr. Helfrich and his colleagues developed the Organizational Readiness to Change Assessment (ORCA) instrument and has significantly advanced the understanding of factors influencing the implementation of healthcare innovations. His expertise and experience will be valuable to the PR-COIN network as we work to improve care for JIA patients by implementing best practices.
Additionally, there are pre-Learning Session QI training sessions for those seeking a refresher on Foundational and Introductory QI concepts, principles, and tools.
